"What should I wear?"
We recommend 'business casual' and above all, dress comfortably.

"Is there natural light in the training room?"
Most of the training rooms have natural light, although it cannot be absolutely guaranteed that the room we are in has natural light.

"Will you be recording the event?"
We recorded Get More Clients Make More Money in March 2010, which is available for purchase. We will therefore not be recording this event, but the content will not deviate much from the March session.

"What's the format of the event?"
?It's a seminar-style event with exercises and opportunities to work with a partner and in small groups.

"Who will be coming to the event?"
When you book your ticket, you will be invited to join the 'Get More Clients Make More Money' LinkedIn Group so you can connect with the other people attending. This group also allows you to stay in touch after the event.

"I like to be able to ask questions if I need to, but I'm worried I'll be lost in the crowd if it's a big conference."
Get More Clients Make More Money is a more intimate event than some of the conferences you may have attended in the past. Because it's not a free or 'low cost' event you can be assured that you are in good company -- the people who value investing in their businesses and are serious about their future success as a coach will attend; the tyre-kickers and freebie-seekers won't. This means that you will have opportunities to ask questions and speak to the presenters in the breaks. You'll also be getting to know the other people in the group who can also help you when you have queries.

"What's the maximum capacity for this event?"
Because of the room size, there are only 30 places available on the course.

"Do I need to prepare anything to get the most out of the day?"
It helps if you have a firm idea of your niche and preferably have completed the Find Your Niche programme, but this is not essential. You'll be taken through everything you need to know on the day.

"Do I need to have a website?"
Again, it helps if you already have one, but it's not essential. Plus, we'll show you how to get your own site without paying astronomical fees to web designers.

"I'm still training as a coach, is it too early for me to come to this event?"
My honest answer is probably, but that is not to say it won't benefit you. It's a sad fact that new coaches typically waste £2,000 - £8,000 in their first year on ineffective marketing because they weren't clear about what they were offering and who they were targeting. We would recommend that you have identified your target market prior to attending, but it is not entirely necessary. Many attendees find the event helps them to clarify their niche and it often changes. If you're still training and have a clear idea of your intended niche, then this event will really help you map out the territory and understand how to approach your marketing correctly, giving you a massive leg up.

"I've been trying to figure out my niche for ages without any luck -- I keep changing my mind! I assume I need to have this sorted out before I can use anything I learn at Get More Clients Make More Money. Is this right?"
Yes and no. 'Yes' because with the methods you're being taught, you do need to be a specialist in your area and 'No' because when you attend Get More Clients Make More Money, you'll be able to see where you are already a specialist. Let's explain further. Despite what coach training companies say, your clients DO expect you to know more about the areas you're coaching them on than they do. It's not enough to say you 'work intuitively' or that your 'job is to help you find the answers within yourself' because to the uninitiated client that sounds like you either make it up as you go along or you just tell them what they already know. You know that joke about consultants: when you ask a consultant the time, they'll ask to borrow your watch so they can tell you. Well, coaching is sometimes seen the same way, so if you can talk with authority about your specialist area you stand out from the competition. At Get More Clients Make More Money, you'll find out how to identify your niche and create packages and products that cater for that niche.

"I've been coaching for years and I'm usually fully booked with clients. However, one of my major clients has just had their training and development budget slashed and now I've got to start looking for business. Will I learn anything new at this course?"
The chances are that as your experience in your field has grown, so has your reputation. Until now you have received most of your new business through referral and also by having a small number of key clients. No matter how long you have been coaching for, the principles of business taught at Get More Clients Make More Money will help you to attract more business and give you a solid base of clients. You may not immediately replace your major client, but you will be able to attract a steady stream of enquiries into your business so that you're never caught out again.

"Will what I learn at Get More Clients Make More Money work when I'm selling my services to corporates and large organisations?"
Absolutely. In fact what you'll learn at Get More Clients Make More Money is even more appropriate to corporate and large organisations where your coaching proposals are going to be put under much closer scrutiny than when selling to private individuals. These days companies are inundated with cold calls, emails and brochures from coaches selling their services, so it's more important than ever that you can clearly communicate what you do in a way that appeals to them. While other coaches are competing on price, you'll be able to demand premium rates by offering a solutions-based coaching programme which delivers results.

"Most of my clients are small business owners -- will the techniques taught at Get More Clients Make More Money be suitable for this market?"
When you last attended a local business networking event it's likely you met one or two other coaches there, right? It's getting to the point where you can't move at a networking function for coaches promising to 'help you achieve your goals' or 'to help you be all that you can be'. If you're sick of it, it's a safe bet that other small business owners are too. At Get More Clients Make More Money, you'll learn how to stand out from the crowd and rather than people rolling their eyes thinking "great, another coach" their faces are lighting up as they ask for your card.

"I'm running out of money and I don't want to put myself into debt if I don't know if the course is worth it."
?That's understandable and if you're already in debt, the last thing we want to do is put yourself in a position where you have to choose between coming on the course and paying for food. The course in itself isn't going to put money in your bank account -- sad but true. Sitting passively at the course won't signal to the 'Universe' that you're ready to receive clients and have them dropping from the sky into your lap. It's up to you to make things happen and to put yourself in a position where clients are drawn to you and what you do. If you know that you're going to apply what you learn on the course, find a way to come. If you've been to course after course and you're very knowledgeable about coaching/business but never apply that knowledge, don't waste your money because you won't use what you learn at Get More Clients Make More Money. For those people who absolutely know they are going to take action and want to be at the course we offer a money-back guarantee.

"How much opportunity will there be for networking?"
There will be informal networking during the day. VIP delegates will additionally be able to network with the speakers during the breaks and over a 3-course lunch on each day of the course.

"Is there somewhere I can put my leaflets / brochures to advertise my business at the course?"
The main focus of the course is on learning rather than selling to other delegates. While we are happy for you to exchange details with people you meet on the course, we discourage you from circulating leaflets or literature to all delegates.

"Will there be a delegates list?"
There will be a delegates list but this will not contain contact details. This is so that you can choose who you give your contact details to. Please let us know if you do not want your details to appear on the list.

"What do I need to bring with me?"
Business cards. You will be provided with paper, pens and course materials.

"Who is the course designed for?"
This course is designed primarily for the directors or partners of small businesses and firms. Because the course is focused on the marketing strategy of the company, it is not suitable for more junior members of staff or those who do not have strong senior management level influence.

"I've just started my business. Is this course going to be right for me?"
It doesn't matter whether you have been in business for years or you have just started your business. The techniques you will be taught on the course work just as well for start-ups as for established businesses.

"What kinds of people will I meet at the course?"
The course attracts business owners and directors from a cross-section of professions and sectors. What they have in common is a real desire to succeed. We notice that all of the people who go on to make big wins in their business have come to our courses with a can-do attitude, an open mind and a willingness to take responsibility for the future success of their business. They are self-motivated and are keen to get buy-in from the other people involved in their business, be they co-directors or partners, direct reports or more junior staff.

"Can I bring the other directors from my business along?"
Yes, we offer a 10% reduction on tickets when 2 or more tickets are booked together.

"My business is quite unique. How do I know that you've got the right experience to help me?"
Every business is unique. Each provides their products and services to their customers in different ways, manages their internal processes in different ways and communicates their message to the outside world in different ways. That said, the principles behind planning the growth of an organisation are common to all professions and sectors. These principles apply, whether you are running a professional services firm, bringing an innovative new product to market or managing teams of people to deliver a specialist service to a particular group of people. The marketing plans that you develop throughout the course will be individual and unique to your organisation.

"Do I need to have any academic qualifications to attend this course?
No. This is a very practical course and while much of the content is of comparable quality to the content of an MBA course, you don't need any prior qualifications to attend.

"Does this course lead to an academic qualification?"
No. This is a practical course for business owners, directors and partners. It is designed to help you to grow your business rather than lead to an academic qualification.

"I'm in a profession where I need to log my CPD hours. Will the hours invested on this course qualify?"
Yes, in most cases they do as they cover marketing and business/practice-building skills. Please check the CPD requirements for your own profession and we are happy to provide evidence of your attendance on this course for your record card.

"I've done an MBA in the past-will this course teach me anything new?"
What you'll love about this course is that it takes the theoretical principles you are already familiar with and shows you how to apply them directly to your own business. When many people do an MBA it is from a corporate perspective and this course presents the information in a way that is relevant to small businesses. As many of our clients say "it's one thing to know what to do and another to actually do it". Attending the course means that you'll get around to doing the strategic marketing planning you could have been putting off for ages!

"This course seems very commercial. I run a not-for-profit organisation. Will this course be suitable for someone like me?"
Yes. The principles behind growing your organisation to achieve your desired outputs and targets are the same as for profit-making companies. The financial part of the course will help you to plan for any fund-raising activities and to manage the budgets that you have so that you do not waste any money unnecessarily. More and more not-for-profit organisations are looking to the private sector for guidance on how to run the organisation more efficiently and how to be more accountable to all of their stakeholders, including trustees and funders.

"I'm more of a hands-on person-I'm not an academic. Will this course be over my head?
This depends very much on you. Our expert speakers are very skilled at putting concepts into everyday terms that most people understand. The course does require you to set aside time to do some very practical exercises when putting together your plans - if you feel at all out of your depth please speak to one of our team during the course.

"How does the money-back guarantee work?"
?Apply everything you learn at Get More Clients Make More Money for 6 months and if after that period you haven't at least covered your costs through increased revenues, we'll refund your course fee -- you'll need to show us evidence of what you've done. You'll understand if we don't just take your word for it! How many times have clients said to you, "But I've tried everything" and you know they've just done one or two things in a half-hearted way? If you're willing to take action, we'll give you a money-back guarantee -- fair enough?

"I prefer not to put things on my credit card. Can I pay with a cheque or bank transfer instead?"
?Yes, please contact Hannah McNamara on hannah@marketinghelpforcoaches.com or by phone on 020 7939 9910 (+44 20 7939 9910)

"Can I talk it through with someone to find out more before I decide to come? I don't like buying from a page on the internet"
?Of course. Please call 020 7939 9910 (UK) and ask to speak to Hannah McNamara.
