Automating Follow Ups During Your Vacation

Summer time is vacation time, even for you.

Taking time to relax, refresh, and recharge your batteries, so to speak, is vital to maintaining the energy and enthusiasm you need to succeed with your coaching practice.

Walk the talk and take time off without abandoning your practice

You cannot very well encourage your clients to take time off periodically if you do not do so yourself. You have to walk the talk if you intend to maintain credibility with those you coach and mentor. At the same time, though, the rest of the world does not come to a halt just because you're on vacation so it's important to arrange for messages and enquiries to be handled appropriately in your absence.

What happens if new client enquiries come in to your website while you're gone? How can you make sure your regular tips and messages to clients go out on time and as expected? The answer is to use auto-responders.

What are auto-responders and why should you use them?

Auto-responders are just what they sound like - automatic messages set up to handle different types of enquiries and tasks on your behalf. They can be set up to handle just about any kind of message or response you wish, from sending out your regular newsletter to conducting marketing campaigns to responding promptly when a potential customer makes contact with you.

Hannah's Recommendation: There are many auto-responder service providers available, but one of the best (and the one I use for my own coaching business) is aweber.com. They offer a cost effective yet comprehensive set of services that are fully customizable based on your needs. You can even tailor responses to enquiries that are personalized with the enquirer's name or other unique attributes.

When you use a comprehensive auto-responder service such as aweber.com, you can be assured that you'll never miss a contact opportunity again. You can go on vacation and truly relax, secure in the knowledge that your key messages will go out correctly while you're away and new client enquiries will be handled promptly and appropriately.
